Whatever your dance style and training, you can learn more about it with us. From perfecting your skills in technical training to letting your creativity run wild in choreography and improvisational classes, our dance specialist pathway is designed to nurture your existing skills and lead you to experience dance in a way you have never imagined before.

As well as perfecting your technique in the studio, you will also perform regularly in our theatres as well as within the community, through professional visits, theatre trips and workshops.
During the 2-year course SPACE Company members choosing the dance pathway will study the following;

An important part of the course is having an understanding of the history of dance & its practitioners, this is mainly explored practically through learning and reproducing extracts from professional dance works. SPACE company dancers also have the opportunity to choreograph and present their own work at public dance platforms.

SPACE Company members are offered an abundance of opportunities to work with professional companies, residencies and master classes with touring companies, also allowing them to see a fantastic variety of shows!
The SPACE Company Members have worked with many professional companies including Tavaziva Dance Company, Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures Dance Company, The Royal Ballet School and many more!
Many of our Company members have gone onto study at a variety of Dance schools and Universities including London Contemporary Dance School (The Place), Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Urdang, Italia Conti, Chichester University and Falmouth University.
