Year 2 Verbatim-
The Listening Room
The Listening Room
Devised - Physical - Verbatim
This is a devised verbatim physical theatre performance exploring our relationship with music. Using found audio and interviews with individuals connected with the cast, the company use lip synchronisation, physical theatre and dance to tell the stories of our experiences of music and the way in which can affect us. The piece also features the stories and voices of people with dementia and their carers and supporters. Take your seat and let us press play.

Our Year 1 Company’s first performance at The SPACE — a triple bill showcasing a range of multidisciplinary performance.

Act 1: Contemporary Dance & Ensemble Theatre
Company members showcase their specialist disciplines through either a contemporary dance performance or an ensemble play extract.

Act 2: Cabaret Rouge — Musical Theatre
Step inside the glittering world of the Cabaret Rouge, where sequins sparkle, secrets unfold and everyone has a story to tell. Inspired by Moulin Rouge, Cabaret, Sweet Charity and more, we meet the performers, workers and patrons who call the Rouge home. Among them is The Boy, a young poet searching for inspiration. Drawn by the music and mesmerised by the sparkle, he steps inside…

But will he find what he’s looking for?
