ROMEO & JULIET: A Dance Story
(Full-Length Dance Production)
The SPACE Company presents an electrifying reimagining of Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy, brought vividly to life through original choreography and powerful physical storytelling.
Set within an urban landscape, ROMEO & JULIET: A Dance Story replaces words with raw, expressive movement, exploring themes of loyalty, conflict, and identity in a world fractured by tension, where rival communities fight for control.
Amid division, two young people find connection, their relationship becomes both a refuge and a risk. Powerful ensemble work and intimate dance moments trace a journey of passion, choice, and consequence, revealing how love can ignite hope, challenge boundaries, and fight to endure in a world determined to tear it apart.

Performed at Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre - 13th & 14th May

Year 2 SPACE Fest -
a festival of Drama

This dynamic reimagining of Orwell’s classic examines power, justice, and the fragility of equality. When a group of oppressed animals overthrow their human farmer, they set out to build a fairer world, but shifting power and rising tensions force them to confront an unsettling question: in the pursuit of equality, who truly gets to be equal?
Performed at The SPACE - 31st March and 1st April 2026

Evan Placey collides Victorian England with the present day to explore the ongoing repression of women’s voices. This contemporary retelling centres on Harriet Jekyll, determined to continue her late husband’s controversial experiments, who soon unleashes a force that refuses to be silenced or controlled. A gripping piece that raises powerful questions around identity and societal expectations.
Performed at The SPACE - 6th and 7th May 2026
